Elizabeth’s Counter began welcoming locals into its brand-new cafe space in March, and then pretty quickly shifted to a take-out and delivery model. Despite that unexpected start, however, locals can attest that Elizabeth’s Counter service is on its way to becoming a local favorite. A doughnut shop and lunch cafe with a special emphasis (though not an exclusive one) on plant-based ingredients, Elizabeth’s offers plenty of tasty options, ranging from caramel and toasted coconut donuts to lunchtime Beyond Burgers to salads and grain bowls piled high with nuts, veggies, and more.
The cafe’s online ordering platform makes contactless in-store pick-up a breeze, while delivery is available through UberEats, Postmates, and DoorDash. Some outdoor seating is also available if you’d prefer to enjoy your coffee al fresco. Psst–later in the evening, mild-mannered Elizabeth’s Counter converts into a speakeasy. Follow the cafe’s partner restaurant, Captain Gregory’s, on social media for more details.
