PIES Fitness Yoga Studio is the health and wellness hub for the West End neighborhood of Alexandria, offering Zumba, Boot Camp, Kick Boxing, Belly Dancing, and various yoga programs. The studio is owned and operated by Marsha D. Banks-Harold, who has been teaching yoga since 2009. Marsha is well-known for creating and teaching the My Body Don’t Bend That Way yoga class, which honors and appreciates the body through a gentle yet challenging flow. Another popular class is Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics for an intense workout.
Take advantage of their New Student special, which includes any four classes for $40. If you want to give the studio a try without the commitment, they also offer free yoga classes on the first Sunday of every month.
